YES, a Christian SHOULD cast out demons.

This act is deeply rooted in scripture, illustrating not only the authority given to us as believers in Jesus Christ but also the enduring battle against darkness.

The following scriptures offer a clear testament to this. 👇👇👇

1. Mark 16:17

“And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name, they will drive out demons…”

This verse explicitly states that the ability to cast out demons is a sign of true belief and faith in Jesus, underscoring the legitimacy and importance of this spiritual practice.

2. Luke 10:19

“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”

Here, Jesus empowers his followers with authority over evil, symbolizing their right and duty to confront and dispel darkness.

3. Acts 16:18

“Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, ‘I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.’ And it came out that very hour.”

This instance from the Acts of the Apostles demonstrates the apostolic tradition of casting out demons, validating the practice as part of the Christian faith and ministry.

These scriptures affirm that casting out demons is not only an act of faith, but also a manifestation of divine authority and compassion.

It is our calling to bring light to dark places, to set the oppressed free, and to bear witness to the power of God’s kingdom.

For those engaged in this ministry, these verses offer both encouragement and validation of a righteous path. We want to see people saved, set free, healed, and delivered.

We have authority in Jesus Christ to pull down strongholds. Our battle is not against flesh and blood.
