Free Indeed: How To Walk In Freedom Of God

Embracing Freedom and Healing Through Faith

As a pastor and evangelist, I have been blessed to witness the miraculous hand of God move in the lives of countless individuals. I have seen the sick restored to health, the broken-hearted find peace, and those in bondage set free. These experiences have deepened my faith and understanding of the profound truth Jesus declared in John 8:36: “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

This powerful statement is not just a promise of spiritual liberation; it encompasses freedom in all its forms, including healing and restoration. The Gospels are filled with accounts of Jesus healing the sick, showcasing His compassion and power. From the woman with the issue of blood to the blind Bartimaeus, each story is a testament to what faith in Christ can accomplish.

Believing for Your Miracle

Miracles are not relics of the past; they are present-day manifestations of God’s love and power. The key to unlocking this miraculous power is faith. Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as “confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” When we approach God with unwavering belief that He can and will move in our situation, we open the door for the miraculous.

Jesus Himself said in Mark 11:24, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” This is not a call to a name-it-and-claim-it theology but a profound instruction on the posture of our hearts when we come before God. It’s about having such trust in the Lord’s goodness and power that we consider the miracle done even before we see it manifest.

Trusting in the Lord’s Timing and Will

While faith is crucial, so is submission to God’s will and timing. Sometimes, the healing or miracle we seek does not come in the way or timing we expect. This doesn’t mean God has failed us or that our faith is lacking. Rather, it’s an invitation to trust Him even more deeply, understanding that His plans are always for our good (Jeremiah 29:11).

The Apostle Paul is a prime example of this. Despite his faith and close relationship with God, he had a “thorn in his flesh” that was not removed, despite earnest prayer (2 Corinthians 12:7-9). Paul’s response was not disappointment but a deeper realization of God’s grace and strength in his life. Sometimes, our greatest testimonies come not from the miracles we receive but from the grace we experience in the midst of our struggles.

Walking in Your Freedom

To those seeking healing and miracles, I encourage you to draw near to God in faith. Remember, the same Jesus who performed countless miracles during His earthly ministry is alive today and working in our midst. Let your faith be rooted not in the miracle itself but in the person of Jesus Christ. Approach Him with a heart of trust, believing that “the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

As you stand in faith, also embrace the freedom Christ has already won for you. This freedom is not just from physical ailments but from sin, fear, and every form of bondage. Walk in that liberty, knowing that whether in this life or the next, your ultimate healing is guaranteed in Christ.

Let us hold onto our faith, trust in the Lord’s will, and celebrate the freedom and healing that are ours in Jesus Christ. For indeed, when the Son sets us free, we are free indeed.
