His Toughest Day Yet
Can you imagine the weight, the pressure, all that must have been going through this man’s mind as he walked down these stairs? Can you imagine what his wife and his kids were going through?
He has been through many tough days, more than just about anyone alive, but this may have been the toughest one yet.
Here is a man who could have just lived a luxurious lifestyle and plush retirement with his beautiful wife, family, and friends, yet he gave all that up to try and do his part to serve the country he loves.
He has been lied on, targeted, smeared daily for years now. They have gone after his family, friends, associates, and businesses.
On the same day he was almost taken out, some people accused him of being the “antichrist” while others suggested that the whole thing was “staged”. Some said things I cannot even repeat.
Yet, the bullet was 1 inch away from a total national calamity. Many don’t even comprehend the odds and absolute miracle that has just happened and choose to see dark conspiracies instead of thanking God.
Can you imagine the weight and heaviness knowing that even though, by God’s grace and the prayers of His people, his life was spared, knowing that other lives were forever changed on that day and a life was lost because evil people plotted on his life?
While they will never report it, he has done more for so many people of all races, colors, and creeds, than most will ever do. I can assure you his heart was broken. Any human being should understand this.
Have so many lost all respect and decency? Have so many waxed cold and become devoid of any feelings and empathy? Does human kindness die within the lines of political affiliation?
We don’t put him on a pedestal or make him an idol in any way, but for the love of God, can we have some compassion and pray for him, his family, and this country?
What will it take for some to wake up?
I pray that something worse doesn’t need to happen for people to realize the situation we are in.
Every Bible-believing church should have been packed today. Every Christian should be aware of the spiritual battle we are in as a nation and world and be in deep prayer.
His toughest day is one of ours as well, and we should all know that he wasn’t the only target.
I pray this is a defining moment for this country. I pray we change our ways and return to God.
If this doesn’t wake us up, what will?
